“ People don’t seem to get that I am more than one thing. I’m not just a Black woman. I’m not just kinky. Or queer. And, no I don’t like watermelon. People have a hard time coming to terms with those things. It’s more of a big deal for them. So in choosing spaces that represent me, I go to both spaces to remind each community that we live this way. There are a lot of activist POCs who are still very conservative about sexuality and I like to be around those people and remind them. “This could be your life if you wanted it to be.
