I wanted to add my two cents to this conversation.

I don’t actually have a problem with two consentual adults enjoying sex that involves racial elements (ie: racial fetishization or race play). I have an EXTREME problem people treating others like objects WITHOUT PERMISSION.

I like some things sexually that might be considered “degrading”. I’ve been treated as a object for sexual pleasure and loved it. The difference is, I made that choice. You can’t choose me because I’m Black to play out your sexual issues. And no… being chosen isn’t flattering. It’s a big fucking assumption about ME, people who look like ME and what I’m willing to do with YOU.

If I want to fetishize an object, I don’t have to ask permission in relation to how sexy I want a pair of shoes to be.

But if I want to do something with a PERSON, they have to be involved in that process. Especially some thing as potentially problematic, triggering and emotionally exhausting as race play. This is edgy stuff. Prepare for the fact that some people ARE NOT DOWN WITH IT AT ALL AND NEVER WILL BE. If you pressure someone, you are an assclown.
